Last updated: 25 July 2026. This policy explains exactly what happens to your files and your data when you use Upload Ready Tools. It is written to match how the site actually works, and it is reviewed whenever the tools change.
The short version
- The images, signatures and photos you open in our tools are processed inside your own browser. The file itself is never uploaded to our server.
- We do not ask you to create an account to use the tools.
- We never receive your file names, image contents or document contents.
- We do count anonymous tool usage, and we do use Google Analytics, which sets cookies. Details are below.
How your files are handled
When you select an image in one of our image, signature or passport-photo tools, your browser reads that file locally and draws it onto an HTML canvas element. All resizing, cropping, compression and format conversion happens on your own device using your browser’s built-in capabilities. The resulting file is created in your browser’s memory and handed straight to your device’s download function.
Because of this, your original file and your processed file are never transmitted to Upload Ready Tools, and we have no copy of them. When you load a new file or leave the page, the temporary references your browser created are released.
Scope of this statement. This describes the image-based tools currently offered on this site. If we ever add a tool that must send a file to a server to work, that tool will say so clearly on its own page before you use it, and this policy will be updated to describe what is sent, how long it is kept and when it is deleted.
Anonymous usage counts
So we can tell which tools are worth improving, the site keeps simple counters. When you view a tool, process a file or download a result, your browser sends a small message to our own server containing only two things:
- the type of action, which is one of: view, process, download, install click or bookmark click;
- the tool name, for example compress-image-to-20kb.
These are stored only as running totals. No file name, no file content, no image data, no dimensions from your file, and no personal identifier is included in this message, and we do not build a profile of individual visitors from it.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general traffic patterns, such as how many people visit, which pages they land on and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics is provided by Google and sets cookies in your browser. It may collect your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view on this site. It does not receive your files.
Google processes this data on its own terms. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Blocking these cookies does not stop the tools on this site from working.
Cookies and local storage
The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics, as described above. WordPress may also set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in as a site administrator. The site can additionally be saved to your home screen as a web app; if you do this, your browser stores a small cache of site files on your device so pages still open when your connection drops. That cache holds site pages and assets only. It never holds your uploaded or processed files. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message, including your email address, and we keep it only so we can reply and to keep a record of the issue. Please do not send us copies of identity documents, passports or signatures — we do not need them to help you, and our tools never require you to send us a file.
Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by Hostinger. Like almost all web hosts, the server keeps standard access logs of requests made to it, which typically include IP address, time, requested page and browser user agent. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting. They record page requests only; they do not contain the files you process in the tools, because those files are never sent to the server.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because we do not run accounts and do not collect your files, in most cases the only data connected to you is Google Analytics data and any email you have sent us. Children
This site is a general-purpose set of file utilities and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes to how files are handled will also be noted on the affected tool pages.
